St. Charles, Missouri

Earl Henry Buescher, Jr., of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Audrey Buescher; cherished son of the late Earl Henry Buescher, Sr., and the late Ruth H. Buescher; devoted father of Christine (Richard) Knight and Beth (Jeff) Crancer; stepfather of Scott Clippard and Randy Clippard; father-in-law of Shelly Clippard; loving grandfather of Addison Knight, Grayson Knight, Jeffrey Crancer, Jr., Hannah Crancer, Emily Crancer, Ellen Clippard, and Nick Clippard; treasured great-grandfather of Orson Schaffer; dear brother of the late Patricia (the late John) Kampmeier; Uncle to Mark and Mary. 

Earl worked several jobs growing up including his uncle’s grocery store, a gas station, and a marina. He worked 39 years for the United States Post Office until retirement in 2001.  

Earl was an avid soccer player.  He loved to crappie fish which culminated when he won a Mark Twain Crappie Tournament with his stepson, Randy. He had many other hobbies; spectated every sport, assembled puzzles, read suspense and mystery novels, loved to birdwatch and sit at the fire pit with his friends and family. He enjoyed cooking, grilling and home improvement projects. He was always eager to volunteer his skills and knowledge to help family and friends with their projects, even while they were at work. His sense of humor was second to none and everybody loved his company.  

Earl was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Memorials may be made in Earl's name to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
