Archibald, Anna Earnesteen (nee: Baynes), of Saint Louis, MO, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at the age of 83. Loving wife of the late Elyie Leon Archibald; beloved daughter of the late John W. Baynes and Mamie Elizabeth Jordan; devoted mother of Kenneth (Eileen Shields) Archibald, Richard (Susan) Archibald, and Douglas (Charlene) Archibald, Sr.; cherished grandmother of Adam Archibald, Amy Heath, Kristin Archibald, and Douglas Archibald II; treasured great-grandmother of Noah Heath and Lauren Heath; and dear sister of John (Pearline) Baynes and Ruth (Frank) Marshall. She is also preceded in death by eight of her siblings, Ellen Crockwell, Lillian Fleming, Christine Pickens, Thomas Baynes, Alice Daniel, James Baynes, David Baynes, and Lloyd Baynes.
Earnesteen worked as an Executive Secretary for McDonnell Douglas, Emerson Electric, and retired from Laclede Gas after working for them for 24 years. After retirement, she spent her winters with her husband in Mesa, AZ, where they made many dear friends. Earnesteen was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, and Phoenix Suns. She was a very competitive person who loved to play games of all kinds, and especially enjoyed winning. She loved square dancing, traveling and flowers of all kinds. She loved her family above all else and treasured her time spent with her grandchildren. Earnesteen was truly one of a kind who was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.
