Edgar Herman Lineback Sr. was born on October 25, 1917 in Fornfield, Missouri (now known as Scott City) to Woodford Cecil Lineback and Ruth Reedy Lineback. He died on May 25, 2002 in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri at the age of 84. Mr. Lineback was the dear husband of Ola Radford Lineback. They were married on November 16, 1941, and were married for over 60 years. He was the father to the late Gail Ruth Lineback, Edgar H. ''Ned'' Lineback II, and Wendy Dale Tunnell, and grandfather to Jason Scott Lineback, Cassondra Marie Lineback, Troy Louis Lineback, Clifford Roger Tunnell, Samuel Jonathan Tunnell, Garrett Lee Tunnell, and Luke Ethan Tunnell. He was the great grandfather of Hannah Grace Lineback, and brother of Evelyn Blades. Mr. Lineback was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Ferguson, Missouri, an endowment member of the National Rifle Association, a member of the U.S. Metric Association, a Past Master (1986-1987) of Masonic Lodge Apollo 529 in Bridgeton, Missouri, a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a Past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the American Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Mr. Lineback was a Pullman Conductor for the Pullman Company, and a Machinist for Emerson Electric, the Curtis Company, and Curtis Wright Aircraft Company. He was also a Production Planner for McDonnell Douglas Corp. for 31 years. He enjoyed many hobbies including photography, traveling (he visited all 50 states, most of Canada, the Holy Land, and Europe), Hunting, shooting small arms and hand loading for rifle, pistol, and shotguns, woodworking with machine tools, Auto Racing (particularly the Indianapolis 500), Hiking with the Boy Scouts, and talking with people (he never met a stranger). Mr. Lineback was the Salutatorian of both his grade school and high school classes. He was a man that knew the lord and understood Proverbs 22:1, ''A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.'' (NIV). He was a man of great integrity and honesty. A loving husband and father, that loved with an unconditional agape love. He loved life, and always wanted to be out seeing and doing something. Generous to a fault, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. The kind of man this world has few of. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him!
