Edgar L. Burgdorf
June 7, 1930 — October 3, 2016
Edgar L. Burgdorf, of Florissant, MO, died Monday, October 3, 2016, at the age of 86. Loving husband of the late Arline Burgdorf; beloved son of the late Edmund and Meta Burgdorf; devoted father Brenda Burgdorf, Edward (Angela) Burgdorf, and Janet Burgdorf; cherished grandfather of Kayla Burgdorf and Devin Burgdorf; and dear brother of the late Melba Wolfe.
Edgar proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a farmer for more than 60 years. He farmed tomatoes and various types of corn. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with everything, working on puzzles, Scrabble, Sudoku, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Edgar never met a stranger, and was a friend to all. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family, and creating fun-filled memories with his grandchildren. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
