Edith J. Fudge, Boatwright, born November 23rd, 1910. Edith was promoted to Glory on June 16th, 2017. She was 106 and a half years old. She was born on the Homestead farm near Uplika Pond, MO. She lived with her family of 2 brothers and 4 sisters, all who preceded her in death. She married Clarence L. Boatwright. They shared a daughter, Edna L. Boatwright Blake together and provided her with many loving and caring acts of kindness and joy. Edith, was eager to go home. We thank the Heartland Hospice people who loved and cared for her.
Edith accomplished much as a person, she was the best pie maker ever, seamstress, and a maker of quilts. She also raised a little colt named Dripper. His mother died when he was born and she became his mother in so many ways. She was a Godly caring person who loved life, singing, sharing poetry, and making us all laugh. A true wit, and a love for God’s word. She is survived by her daughter, two grandsons, 7 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Church.
Inurnment will take place at a later date at Mill Spring Cemetery, Mill Spring, Missouri.
