Lewandowski, Edmund Walter, 67, of St. Peters, MO, passed away at his home on March 8, 2013. He was diagnosed with ALS in March, 2012. He was born on July 29, 1945 in St. Louis, MO, the oldest son of Edmund W. Lewandowski Sr. and Elenore Suelmann Lewandowski. Ed graduated from St. Mary's High School in St. Louis, MO in 1963. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1963 to 1967. Ed was employed by Sodexo as an Area Support Manager for Environmental Services for the Upper Midwest states. He was married to Dorothy Marie (Woodhurst) Sharp on June 15, 1989, and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Edmund (Lisa) Lewandowski, and Ronald (Teri) Lewandowski; two stepsons, Todd Sharp and Travis (Jody) Sharp; step-daughter Tracey (Michael) Carman; Proud Papa of eleven grandchildren whom he adored: Colin, Chloe, Carter, Ally, Ana, Kyndra, Jarret, Makynzie, Cade, Ayden & Bristol; three brothers, Tom (Marge ) Lewandowski, Anthony (Karen) Lewandowski and Don Lewandowski; two sisters, Mary Ann (Bill) Friehs and Patrice (Mike) Vaughn and special friends Kevin Williams and John LaRochelle. He leaves behind also a host of Sodexo co-workers and friends who he admired and loved. Ed played on the Webster Groves Sunday Morning Indian Ball Club for several years and was inducted into their Hall of Fame recently which made him very proud. He was an avid Yankees and Cardinals fan. Many summer weekends were spent on the patio barbecuing, socializing (drinking beer) and listening to Cardinals games and favorite music. Pallbearers will be Todd Sharp, Travis Sharp, Michael Carman, Roger Woodhurst, Kevin Williams and Greg Shoults. Memorials suggested to the ALS Association - St. Louis Chapter or St. Mary's High School.
