Edna M. Becker

Edna Becker of O’Fallon, MO died Wednesday, February 26, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born on October 12, 1932, in Martin County, Minnesota, the daughter of Edward and Millie (Hample) Schlager. As a youth she attended the Petersburg, MN grade school and graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, MN.

She was united in marriage to Eugene Becker on July 30, 1951 at Xavier Catholic Church in Windom, MN. She spent several years working various waitress positions and 9 ½ years with Sears, from which she retired.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Gary) Selvaggio of Simpsonville, SC and her son Randall (Shari) Becker of Melbourne, FL, her grandchildren Jason (Kathy) Saey, Christine (Jeremy Cash) Selvaggio, Michael (Mary) Selvaggio, Andrea (Nathan) Hartman, Alex (Carla) Becker, Adam (Stina) Becker, Carrie (Christian) Becker, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Eugene Becker, daughter, Barbara Saey, son, Gary Becker, son-in-law, Dan Saey and daughter-in-law Karen Becker.

Edna was deeply loved by her family and friends. She enjoyed living the past couple of years at Twin Oaks Estates where she had made many friends with other residents and staff members. Let her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

A visitation will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, 5-7 PM at Baue Funeral Home in O’Fallon, MO. A private burial service will take place Friday, March 7.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.
