Edna E. Freeman

Edna E. Freeman nee: Friedrich of Saint Charles, Missouri, on Thursday November 16, 2017, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Roy L. Freeman; cherished daughter of the late Martin C. and Mary Friedrich; devoted mother of Mitchel L. (Holly) Freeman and Patrick (Pamela) Freeman; loving grandmother of Nathaniel, Shaun, Jessica, Samantha, Charlene, and Zane, treasured great-grandmother of Alexis, Spencer, Mackenzie, dear sister of the late Mary Smith. Edna is also survived by her sister-in-law Alberta Jenkins and daughter-in-law Lisa Brockgreitens.

A dedicated advocate for the disabled, Edna served as the president of the Missouri Council of the Blind as well as St. Charles County Council of the Blind, support groups for the visually impaired. She also served on the Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities and President’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities. A Lindenwood graduate with a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, she served as a charter trustee of the St. Charles Community College and was a member of the St. Charles and St. Peter’s Chambers of Commerce.
