Edward D. Rabbitt

Edward D. Rabbitt of Wentzville, MO, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the age of 82 Years. Beloved husband of Carol Rabbitt; cherished son of the late Anthony D. and Catherine A. Rabbitt; patriarch of our blended family Edward D. Rabbitt, Jr., Deborah A. (Raymond) Wuebben, Raymond A (Brenda) Rabbitt, James M. (Tammy) Rabbitt, Robert A (Cathy) Rabbitt, Barbara J. (Thomas) Kuhn, Susan M. (Barry) Young, Tammy L.M. (Mike) Groppe, Mary Beth (Dan) Mueller, Barbara (Gary) Crowder, Leon (Sally) Burkemper, Tricia (Casey) Henry, Jesse (Lisa) Burkemper; loving grandfather of 30; and treasured great-grandfather of 12.

Edward proudly served his country for many years in the United States Navy and retired as Chief Petty Officer SS. He served on multiple vessels including USS Sea Robin SS407 from 1961 to 1963, USS Sam Houston SSBN609 from 1964 to 1965, USS Thomas Jefferson SSBN618 from 1966 to 1967, and USS Trepang SSN674 from 1969 to 1971. He was devout in his faith and longtime parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, #11656 of New Melle, where he earned the 4^th Degree Emblem and Rosary. Edward was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
