Edward “Ed” Begley

Edward “Ed” Begley, of Saint Charles, MO, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the age of 79. Loving husband of 56 years to Constance “Connie” Begley; devoted son of the late Edward L. and Bernice Begley; devoted father of Tim Begley, Dan (Robin) Begley and Megan Begley; cherished grandfather of Aidan Begley and Moria (Adam) Begley; treasured great-grandfather of Beckham; dearest brother of Jim (Kathy) Begley, Theresa (Larry) Benoist, and Betty Begley; uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to many. Ed is preceded in death by his two sisters, Mary Begley, Bonnie Begley; two brothers, Jack (Pattie) Begley, Father Tom Begley.

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was active in the St. Sebastion Catholic Church CYC sports program, coaching baseball, soccer, and serving for a time as Athletic Commissioner. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and worked for General Motors in Human Resources, retiring after 40 years of service. Ed’s pastimes included golf and slow-pitch softball. He was a loving grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson. Ed was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
