Edward “Ed” Matthew Shields

Shields, Edward Matthew “Ed”, of O’Fallon, MO, died on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the age of 68. Cherished son of the late Jewel and Hazel Tate; devoted father of Lori (Matthew) Tritz; loving grandfather of Hannah Tritz, Jack Tritz, and Harrison Tritz; dear brother of Linda (Jack) Smith, Lee (Kathy) Anderson, Barbara (Robert) Guy, Thomas (Janie) Shields, and Nancy Johnson; and treasured uncle of Wendy Johnson. He is survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his brothers Richard Shields, Jackson Anderson, and Joseph, Robert, and William Shields.
Edward was a graduate from Lindenwood University and was employed at Ehrhardt Tool and Machine. He loved to play golf, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Most of all, Edward loved being with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorials may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital of Kansas City.
