Edward Ed Thomas Sutton

SUTTON, Edward 'Ed' Thomas passed away on April 30, 2005 in St. Louis, MO. He was born in Boone County, MO on January 11, 1942. With roots deep in the Missouri soil, he loved farming and the Missouri River. Ed is a sixth generation Boone Countian born on the Sutton farm now in the southwest section of Columbia. His parents, Edward Sutton, Sr. and Maedell Shelnutt Sutton predeceased him. He is survived by his wife, Kristine Carlson Sutton and daughter, Elizabeth Carlson Sutton of Weldon Spring, MO, his daughter Eaddy Grier Sutton and grandson, Theo William Robey Sutton of Hartland, VT, sister and brother-in-law, Anne Sutton and George Neal King of Tampa, FL. He has five nieces and nephews, eight great nieces and nephews. Ed graduated from Hickman High in 1960 and the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1966 after serving for two years in the National Guard. He was a talented and resourceful businessman, founding McBaine Solutions in 1986. Ed was an ardent reader with extensive knowledge of the Civil War and was a talented craftsman. He devoted his life to serving others and helped many people.
