Clifton, Edward F., of Hazelwood, MO, died Friday, October 21, 2016, at the age of 81. Ed was the loving husband of Carol Clifton; cherished son of the late William Burton and Mary Clifton; devoted father of Cherrie Neeley, Edward F. Clifton, Jr., Bradley (Deborah) Bode, Lori Bode, and Matthew (Jennifer) Bode; loving grandfather of Jennifer Tittel, Amanda Coleman, Bryan Bode, Leah Williams, Lindsey Bode, Allison Bode, and Dylan Bode; and treasured great-grandfather of Connor Tittel, Devin Tittel, and Oliver Williams. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Edward worked for McDonnell Douglas for 10 years. He then worked as a Tool & Die Maker for Chrysler Corporation for over 18 years before retiring in 1992. After his retirement, he worked as a Tool & Die Maker for Watlow Electric for another 10 years. Ed was a very hard working and handy person who could fix anything. He greatly enjoyed hanging out in his garage and tinkering with things. He also enjoyed playing the occasional game of golf and spending time with his family and friends. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
