Memorials may be made to Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service for Capital Campaign. McGrath, Edward T., of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the age of 84. Preceded in death by his parents Thomas F. and Clara M. McGrath; his loving wife Alice C. McGrath and his daughter, Alice Jean Hughes; devoted father of Michael (Mary Ann) McGrath, Jim (Jeannie) McGrath, Glen (Pat) McGrath, Carol (Ed) Miller, Joann (Bob) Taylor, Colleen (Joe) Marr and Phyllis (Jeff) Foulks; beloved grandfather of 18 and great-grandfather of 11, dear brother of Mary Therese (Vernon) Meyer. He was our dear brother-in-law, uncle and cousin. He is preceded in death by 5 brothers, Thomas, Frank, Vincent, Bill and Joseph McGrath, and 4 sisters, Sister Mary Clare B.V.M., Lucille McGrath, Margaret McGrath and Anne Miriani. Mr. McGrath was a Gunners Mate in the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. He became an Elevator Mechanic, achieving 50 years of membership with the Elevator Constructor Local 3. He retired from Long Elevator.
