Edward W. Jastrem (77) of Lake St. Louis, Missouri passed away on August 16, 2021. Ed was born in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Edward and Josephine Jastrzemski, sister Audrey (deceased) and brother Jim (Linda). He attended Central Catholic High School and The University of Toledo. Ed served in the Army Reserves.
Ed married wife Kay (son, Tom) in 1970 and moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1977, where he was employed by Wagner Electric. He graduated from Maryville University with a degree in Business Administration and later worked as an independent manufacturer’s representative in the automotive aftermarket for TEBO Ltd. of Mexico City.
Ed enjoyed travel. He and Kay toured Egypt, Greece, and most of Europe, often with friends and family. They also went on safari to Africa with the St. Louis Zoo.
Ft. Myers Beach, Florida became Ed and Kay's winter home. There, Ed played golf and enjoyed leisure time on the beach. Locally, he was a member of Compagnons du Vin and enjoyed dining and fine wine with friends. He also played bridge and had season tickets to the Fox Theatre and Jazz at the Bistro.
Most of all, Ed loved watching his son, Tom, and grandsons, Josh and Jake, grow up and participate in their sports and activities.
Family pets were also always a big part of Ed's life. He and Kay raised 3 dogs and 6 cats over their lifetime together.
Ed is survived by wife Kay, son Tom (Tracy), grandsons Josh and Jake, brother Jim (Linda) and other extended family members.
A Celebration of Ed’s Life is scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2021from 3-6 pm at Lake St. Louis Community Association, 100 Cognac Court, Lake St. Louis, Missouri 63367. Memorials may be made to the
