Edward "Eddie" Lee Whitehurst

Edward “Eddie” Lee Whitehurst, of Rolla, MO, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at the age of 67 at SSM University in St. Louis, Peacefully in his sleep with his Daughter by his side. Eddie Was born to late Duke and Joanne in San Francisco Nov,24,1955. Duke was remarried to his stepmother Betty. Eddie had 5 brother and 2 sisters. He was in the Army from 1973-1975. He is the beloved husband of the late Margaret Whitehurst; loving father of Misty Whitehurst and Carl Whitehurst; dear stepfather of Kelly Sons, Shawna Miller and Kenny John Mairel; a grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eddie is preceded in death by his Infant Daughter Jasmine, three brother and is survived by two sisters. He is an uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Eddie started his life and career on the west coast in the Oilfields as a roughneck but went on to have a successful career as a Master Carpenter/Maintenance both in Florida, and then retired and moved to live with his daughter in Missouri. He loved the warmer climate and always enjoyed travelling. When he wasn’t working, Eddie loved to ride his motorcycle and spend time with his African Gray Parrot, Ike and always enjoyed great music. Eddie truly lived every day to the fullest and greeted everyone with a smile. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
