Edwin Hosto

Edwin C. Hosto, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Iris L. Hosto; cherished son of the late Margaret M. and Charles W. Hosto. Devoted father of Karen L. (Rick) Steinbecker and Barbara A. (Richard) Hosto-Carter; loving grandfather of Megan Fitzgerald, Kaylan Hosto, Paige (Kent) Erickson, Daniel (Olga) Steinbecker; Jennie (Shawn) Clemens, Ross Carter; treasured great-grandfather of Addison Iris Erickson, Dominic Steinbecker, and Sadie Clemens; beloved uncle, cousin, and friend. Preceded in death by his three sisters, Adell Bruns, Mytrle Pietmeier, Aletha Johnson, and his twin sister, Eva Mae Waugh.

Ed proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Midway during the Korean Conflict. He was a dedicated member of Palestine Lodge #241 and the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. Ed never met a stranger and was known for his warmth and kindness. To his family, he was the epitome of love and devotion, cherished as an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather. Ed was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
