Edythe G. Sloan

Edythe G. Sloan (nee Gillooly), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Brooks E. Sloan; cherished daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Elizabeth "Mame" Gillooly; devoted mother of Kathi (Rich) Hoormann, Janalee (David) Kirk, and Kerry Michael " Mike" Sloan; loving grandmother of Matthew (Kim) Hoormann, Ryan (Katie) Hoormann, Kristen (Jerry) Holder, Justin Kirk, Nicole Kirk, John  Sloan, Shawn (Elaina) Sloan, Becky (Josh) Johnson, and the late Christopher Sloan; treasured great-grandmother of Abrianna, Kylie, Declan, Josiah, Kiera, Maci, Reece, Jamieson, Jeremy, Cherish, Ezra, Jadyn, Jaxon and Brennan. Preceded in death by Robert, James, Patrick, Mary, Sam and Thomas Henry.

Edythe was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, St Peters. She was a devoted grandmother who enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and attended all their events, from concerts to sports events.  

Edythe enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, reading and watching her favorite television show “Blue Bloods”. She was also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.  

Edythe will be remembered as a woman of faith who loved her family above everything else and she will be dearly missed.  

Memorials may be made in Edythe's name to St Jude's Children Hospital.
