Eileen Phelps

Eileen Phelps (nee Proehl), of St. Charles, MO, passed away with her loving son Ricky at her side, on Monday, March 30, 2020. She was 87 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Phelps; her parents, Elmer and Marie Proehl; her brother, Elmer (Bea) Proehl Jr., and sister, Dorothy (Al) Niehoff.

Eileen is survived by her children, Ricky Phelps, Sandra (Tony) Thieman, Gaylan (Jim) Rosson, and Mitchell (Anne) Phelps; brother Donald (Ruth) Proehl; her ten loving grandchildren; her eleven great-grandchildren; and her nieces-and-nephews, Don Proehl, Richard Proehl, Cindy Proehl, Barbara Proehl, and Al Niehoff.

Eileen was a longtime parishioner of All Saints Catholic Church and generously volunteered her time and talents serving at the St. Peter’s Senior Center. She was also a former member of the Moose Lodge. Eileen will always be remembered by those who loved her for her fun-loving, feisty personality. Her generous, loving spirit was an inspiration to many and she will be dearly missed.

Memorial contributions may be made in Eileen's honor to either All Saints Catholic Church, the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, or to the American Heart Association.

Eileen will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, David, in Eternal Peace Cemetery.
