Elizabeth “Betty” L. Dyer

Elizabeth “Betty” L. Dyer, aka Grandma Betty, (nee Wehde), of St. Paul, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the age of 88. Loving wife of the late Bernard Dyer; beloved daughter of the late Dick and Helen Wehde; devoted mother of David (Judy) Dyer, the late Linda Poepsel, and Gary (Shari) Dyer; cherished grandmother of Father Kevin Dyer, SJ, Jill (Matt) Fischer, Molly Dyer, Carrie (Tony) Auchly, Laurie (Ted) Zaleuke, Jenniefer (Carl) Hines, Rachel (Brett) Grohman, Ashley (Brian) McGeehon, Emily (Drew) Satterfield, Michael Dyer, Andy Dyer, and Anna Grace Dyer; treasured great-grandmother of 20; dear sister of Charles (Nita) Wehde, Shirley (the late Jim) Rothermich, and Joyce Rothermich; beloved sister-in-law, aunt cousin, and friend to many. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, William (the late Sue) Wehde, and Gerald Wehde.

Betty was a member of St Paul Catholic Church and was the organist there for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Sodality and Quilters of St Paul Catholic Church as well as a member of the Serra Club. Elizabeth was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Betty’s name to St Paul Catholic Church, St Paul Catholic School, St Dominic High School, or the White House Retreat Center.
