Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Gieseke (nee Hurley), of St. Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Henry "Gil" Gieseke; cherished daughter of the late Josephine and Maurice Hurley; devoted mother of Mary (Joseph) Puleo, Marci Mills, and John (Cynthia) Gieseke; loving grandmother of Joseph (Julia) Puleo, Sophia Puleo, Shelbie (Adam) Henke, Jack (Nia) Gieseke, Gillian Gieseke, Jordan (Kailey) Forsythe, Hannah (Hailey) Forsythe, and Evan Forsythe; treasured great grandmother of Leo Henke, Shepard Henke, Sadie Henke, Nehemiah Gieseke, and Ford Forsythe; dear sister of the late Maurice Hurley; aunt of Debbie Campise, Kelly Hurley, Renie Campise, the late Michael Hurley, Anne Hurley-Kretzler, the late Andrew Schneeberger, and great aunt of the late Jimmy Campise. Betty also leaves her great grand-dogs, Lilly Gieseke and Birdie Puleo.
Betty was a proud member of the St. Charles County Democrats, dedicating her time to many political campaigns. A naturally talented singer with a deep love for music and movies, she found joy in sharing those passions with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She adored her dogs, Shamrock and Molly, and took great pride in her Irish heritage. Witty and kind to everyone she met, Betty was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Betty’s name to the National MS Society, St. Charles Humane Society, Community Living Lonning Center, or the American Heart Association
