Elizabeth J. Weichselbaum

June 7, 1944 — November 2, 2008

Weichselbaum, Elizabeth J. "Crabby", of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Sunday, November 2, 2008, at the age of 64. Wife of George D. Weichselbaum; beloved daughter of the late William and the late Elizabeth Margaret Manson; loving mother of Tim Weichselbaum, Steven (Cilla) Weichselbaum and Amy (Terry) Wells; cherished grandmother of Layne, Campbell, Cole, Bailey and Jackson. She was a retired teacher for the Fort Zumwalt School District and was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. Elizabeth was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in October of 2007. Like always, she faced this battle with courage, strength and an amazing sense of humor. In the end, like in her life, she was able to leave on her own terms. Her friends and loved ones are left with the inspiration, laughs, stories and memories that were shaped under the influence of Lizzy. Elizabeth "Lizzy," "Wax," and "Crabby" Weichselbaum was a teacher, friend and mother that made a difference in every life she touched. She will be sorely missed by everyone she knew. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
