Elizabeth Jane Bland

Elizabeth Jane Bland, (nee: Thro) of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late William Bland; cherished daughter of the late Francis and Adele Thro; devoted mother of Robert  Bland, Carol (Michael) Renner, and Thomas (Tara) Bland; treasured mother-in-law of Jean  Bland; beloved grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 21; dear sister of Peg (the late Bob) Beckmann, and sister-in-law of Nancy Thro; loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth is also preceded in death by her three brothers, Jack (the late Loretta) Thro, Bob (the late Kathleen) Thro, and Joe Thro.

Elizabeth was faithful parishioner at St. Barnabus Catholic Church, and a former parishioner of St. Lawrence the Martyr. She was a very spiritual lady, and loved attending Mass. Elizabeth was also an avid Cardinals fan, and in her younger years she enjoyed time with friends playing cards, square dancing, and traveling. She enjoyed cooking, and she loved a good party. Elizabeth was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
