Elmer B. Kern

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children. Kern, Elmer B., of Wentzville, Missouri, died on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Arline C. Kern (nee: Schmidt) and the last of 10 children to the late Fred and Maria Kern; loving father of Richard E. (Georgia) Kern, Steven C. (Debbie) Kern, James F. (Melissa) Kern, and the late Barbara Ann Rice; dear father-in-law of Bill (Wanda) Rice; beloved grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 5; dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, and friend of many; dear brother to nine late brothers and sisters. He was a self-employed painter, and a member of Friedens Chapel in Bellefontaine Neighbors, a 60 year member of Masonic Lodge, a member of the Scottish Rite, Moolah Shrine, Guides Unit of Moolah Temple, a seven year Potentate Aide, Associate Guardian of Bethel 17, 65 year member of Painter's Local #2341, and a member of District Council #2.
