Elmer J. Schuerman

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Schuerman, Elmer J., of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the age of 93. Dear husband of 69 years to Ruth Schuerman (nee Gutermuth), dear son of the late John Schuerman and the late Helena Schuerman (nee Nesslage), loving father of Chester R.(Hope) Schuerman, Joyce Ann (Gerald) Schiermeier, and Marla Kay (Gary L.) Jeffries; cherished grandfather of Jocelyn Coates, Jason Schiermeier, Susan Tormala, Mark Schuerman, Kelly Palermo and Brian Jeffries and great-grandfather of fifteen, loving uncle of nieces and nephews and a friend to many. He is preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Martin Schuerman, George Schuerman, Milton Schuerman, Alvin Schuerman, Alvena Kopp, Freida Bergfeld, Walter Schuerman, Fred Schuerman and Elma Heitgerd. He was employed as a Hoisting Engineer at Westlake Quarry. He was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church and a member of Union Local 513 for 65 years. He loved to garden, ride his John Deere and enjoyed woodworking.
