Elmer J. “Junior” Stokes
June 13, 1923 — June 14, 2014
Stokes, Jr., Elmer J. "Junior", of Bellflower, Missouri, died on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the age of 91. Loving husband of the late Jane Frances Stokes; beloved son of the late Elmer and Gerthrud W. Stokes; devoted father of Deborah (Moke) Stokes-Cavitt and Richard (Pamela) Stokes; loving grandfather and great-grandfather; dear brother of Bernice Schaefer. He is preceded in death by his son E. John Stokes, brother Walter (Lois) Stokes, and brother-in-law Charles Schaefer.
Elmer was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, American Legion 641 and VFW. He was also a member of the Scottish Rights and a Lifetime Member of the NRA. He was a parishioner at St. Theodore from 2000-2005 and from 2005 until most recently at St. Alfonse Catholic Church in Milwood, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
