Elsa Mary Ann Ross, recently of Daytona Beach, Florida, died on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at the age of 87. Dear daughter of the late John and Elsa Wiegmann; devoted mother of Judy (Larry) Stephens, Jim (Beverly) Burcham, Don (Cindy) Burcham, Kathy (F.J.) Bizelli and Lorie Hesselmeyer; cherished grandmother of Erin (Peter) Daub, Sarah (Dominic) Orlando, Chantel (Paul) Brandt, Michelle Boyce, Jimmy (Jessie) Burcham, Matthew Burcham, Kurt Burcham, Mandy Burcham, Tracey Burcham, Shawn (Kelly) Bizelli, Katy (David) Fierling, Brad (Jenn) Bizelli, Holly Hesselmeyer and Becky Hesselmeyer; and treasured great-grandmother of Maura, Madeleine, Rose, Christian, Molly, Ryan, Cason, Reece, Liam, Landon, Addie, Allen, Marcus, Makenna, Kaylei, Baze, Braxton, Brenden, Brie, Chase, Lily, Kaitlin, Matthew and Sammy. Dear sister-in-law of Carolyn Wiegmann, Carol Wiegmann and Lois Haley, aunt, cousin and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her brothers, George, Johnny and Harvey; her son-in-law, James Hesselmeyer; daughter-in-law, Robin Burcham, and beloved granddaughter Kristen Bizelli.

Mary Ann was a member of the First Methodist church in St. Charles, Missouri. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary and past president of American War Mothers. She retired from Barnes St. Peters Hospital where she worked as a nursing assistant for sixteen years. She loved feeding and watching the birds and the squirrels. She enjoyed playing bingo, building puzzles and working on her quilts. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals and rarely missed watching a ballgame. We all knew not to call her between 6:30 and 7:00 in the evening because Wheel of Fortune was on TV. Most of all, Mary Ann loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
