Elsworth F. Fildes

August 14, 1938 — March 22, 2022

Elsworth F. Fildes, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Cleta F. Fildes; cherished son of the late Floyd R. and Naomi R. Fildes. Devoted father of Robert (Anne) Fildes and Anita D. (Joe) Redford; beloved grandfather and great grandfather; dear brother of Eugene F. (Terri) Fildes, the late Elener F. Patridge, and the late Evelyn Fulk. 


 


Elsworth proudly served in the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Accutax Tax Business in St. Peters, Mo. Prior to owning his own tax business, he worked for McDonnnell Douglas for over 25 years. Elsworth was a lifetime member of the Greater St. Louis Flight Instructor's Association. He also operated a flight school and Fixed Base Operation at St. Charles Smartt Field. Elsworth was Past President of the boat club, Anchor Yankers. Elsworth’s passions were flying airplanes and boating. He enjoyed woodworking and was a mechanic and hands on of all trades. His motto was "If it can be done by human hands...You can do it!" Elsworth was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
