Elton Vern Carroll, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of 71 years to Noma Carroll; cherished son of the late Jewell and Luella Carroll; devoted father of Gregory (Lori) Carroll and Verna (Michael) Pribble; loving grandfather of Laura (Greg) Brown, Colleen Dietrich, Charles Williamson, Anna (Steve) Ratzlaff, Heidi (Kaleb) Clevenger, Angela (Richard) Hinchsliff; treasured great-grandfather of Daine, Miko, Aven, Levi, Peter, Teddy, Amelia, Joey, Daniel, Luna; twin brother of the late Evelyn Fern (The late Duel) Reed; dear brother of the late Pauline (The late Russ) Cotter, Viola (The late Tom) Williams, Charles (The late Betty) Carroll; loved Uncle, Cousin and Friend.
Elton was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving as an aircraft maintenance instructor. He was a dedicated aircraft mechanic with over 35 years of service at TWA. He was passionate about his work, often tinkering and solving mechanical challenges. His commitment extended beyond his job when he would help his family and friends, even traveling to Bolivia with Noma for a mission trip, where he helped overhaul a missionary pilot’s aircraft engine.
Elton was also actively involved in his community, serving as a board member and volunteer at Calvary, as well as being a member of IAMAW. In his free time, Elton enjoyed reading, maintaining a beautiful yard and riding his Gold Wing motorcycle with Noma through 48 states and Canada over the years, but most of all spending time with family. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
