Elva Lorene Walsh (nee: Cates), age 77, born June 2, 1939 to Elvis and Lola Cates (nee: Palmer), went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Born in Campbell, Missouri, Elva lived there until her family moved two years later to Bloomfield, where she lived until graduating from Bloomfield High School in 1957. She then moved to St. Louis, Missouri and lived the rest of her life there.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Kevin Walsh (Maggie) of St. Louis County and one daughter, Laurie Ann Wingerter (Jim Watkins), of St. Louis County. Also four grandsons, Danny Walsh, Kenny Walsh, Cody Wingerter, and Ryan Wingerter, all of St. Louis County. She is also survived by one brother, Ron L. Cates (Susan) of Port Angeles, Washington.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Elvis and Lola Cates.
Elva had a true passion for music. She was a gospel singer and a piano player. She enjoyed listening to Keith Urban and Elvis Presley. Most of all, Elva loved her family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
