Elwood "Buck" E. Moore

Elwood E. "Buck" Moore, Jr. of O'Fallon, Mo passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Beloved husband of 66 years to Elizabeth "Betty" Moore (nee Naumann); cherished son of Elwood E.Moore Sr. and the late Mary Carlisle Moore; proud father of Scott Moore, Laura Niere, Deanna Chisholm, Denise Kosarek (Michael), and Tammy Turek (Michael); cherished grandfather to Crystal Jorgensen (Rob), Scott Moore, Jr. (Ann), Christopher Chisholm (Kimberly), Andrew Niere (Michelle) Patrick Chisholm, Stephanie Donnelly (Sean) Dakota Kosarek, Bailey Kosarek, and Hannah Turek; treasured great-grandfather of 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom he loved dearly; dear brother of Donald (Peggy) LaRocque, and Glenda Stephens; Buck is proceeded in death by his first-born son Steven, son-in-law Ken, daughter-in-law Diane, grandson Shawn and 7 siblings. 

Buck spent 20 years in the National Guard. He travelled extensively with his wife Betty, and spent summers visiting Michigan, where he was born. He was a hard worker with a strong will and provided for his family, instilling these values in his children. He retired from General Motors after 31 years as a Materials Handler. 

He was an artist, loved to play bingo, go bowling, and listening to country music. He enjoyed playing cards and games with his family. Buck was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.  

He loved to laugh and had a sarcastic sense of humor. Being a jokester, he made others laugh with his witty one-liners. 

He was a friend to all, and never met a stranger. He always had a good story to share. He had a lot of love in his heart and always had a big smile on his face. 

Buck was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
