Elzie Rasmussen

Elzie M. Rasmussen, of Tifton, GA, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of Gunder H. Rasmussen; cherished daughter of the late Peter W. Grimes and Rosie May Gifford. Devoted mother of Johnnie (Linda) Tankersley; loving grandmother of Michelle (Bob Branstetter) Moore, Grandson, Michael (Kris) Ebersohl, Grandson, Jason (Amanda) Tankersley; dear sister of Verlene (Larry) Bunch; a host of nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

Elzie loved being outdoors. fishing was one of her favorite activities and was a master gardener. She retired from McDonald Douglas. Elzie was a big-time country music fan and was an avid baseball fan. The St. Louis Cardinals was the best MLB team in her eyes. She enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything. Elzie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
