Emil Horstmeier

Emil G. Horstmeier, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the age of 73. Married to his childhood sweetheart for 53 years, Alice M. Horstmeier; beloved son of the late Emil G., Sr. and Ivy I. Horstmeier; devoted father of Karen L. (Thomas) Horstmeier Nicklin, and Steven (Tina Mattingly) Horstmeier; cherished grandfather of Noah, Max, Natalie, Brendan, Garytt, and Deegan; dearest brother of Jim (Susan) Horstmeier and Brenda (Layton) Muschany.

Emil was a lifelong member of Friedens United Church of Christ. Emil built a career with M.R.S and later Krey Distributing, an Anheuser Busch Distributorship becoming President prior to retiring. He maintained many board positions in the county including, St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau. Later he became a real estate agent retiring only recently from Black and Associates, LLC in January 2018. Emil loved to hunt and farm with family and friends. He enjoyed many treasured memories. Emil was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
