Emily Beckmann
July 30, 1993 — May 22, 2022
Emily Katherine Beckmann passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022. She was 28 years old. Emily was born on July 30, during the flood of ‘93. She was a fighter from the start. Ever the firecracker, Emily was full of energy and had a carefree outlook on life. She loved to be surrounded by people and positivity. Emily was the “spice of life!” She did not attend a church weekly, yet she lived her Christian faith in her kindness and love of others. Growing up, Emily played competitive soccer and volleyball. Fitness was always important to her, although she could never say no to ice cream, licorice, and skittles. She had the most beautiful voice and was incredibly resilient. She graduated from UCM with a bachelor's degree in Communications and was working as a pharmacy technician. She enjoyed playing games and coloring with her niece and nephews, particularly Uno, Pretty Pretty Princess, and Trouble. She loved little children and could entertain them with joy. Some of her favorite things included dancing, watching the Blues, writing poetry, and the color pink. She especially loved ketchup, using french fries as utensils to eat all the more ketchup. Emily was always searching for adventure and her “passion” in life. She loved running, hiking, and was her happiest when she was out in the sunshine. She dreamed of moving somewhere with a beach and warm weather. An animal lover, Emily was the best dog mom and would do all she could for any animal in distress or in need of a home. Birds, bunnies, turtles, dogs, and even bugs. She was a loyal friend and the kindest soul. No amount of money, success, or material belongings can ever equate to the joy Emily brought to those she met. She loved hard and her big heart will be missed. Emily is survived by her parents, Janice and Jeff Beckmann, and her siblings, Beth (Alex) Seier and JT (Kelsey) Beckmann. She dearly loved her niece, Ava Seier, and twin nephews, Aceson and Axel Seier. She leaves behind her fur baby, Tootsie. She was preceded in death by her beloved paternal grandparents, Jon and Dottye Beckmann; and her loving maternal grandparents, Bill and LaVerne Brune. Memorials may be made in Emily's name to NAMI or Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service.
