Emily K. Lewis-Evans

Emily K. Lewis-Evans, died peacefully at home on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the age of 80. Emily came from Clear Lake, Iowa to St. Charles, Missouri to attend Lindenwood College in 1949. She was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel Knutson; devoted mother of Rick M. (Geri) Lewis, Stephen K. (Maria E.) Lewis, Linda Meyer, and Kathy (Joe) Hundley; cherished grandmother of Bart & Angela Lewis, Beth & David Mills, Danny & Angela Lewis, Jacob Simmons, Sam Simmons, Emily Meyer, Jeffrey Meyer, Dusty & Kim Acklie, Jared Acklie, Samantha Lewis, Jennifer Nemecek, Whitney Nemecek, Stephen Nemecek, Shawn Sackman, and Ashley Sackman; and treasured great-grandmother of Kylie Mills, Brock Mills, Brady Lewis, Connor Lewis, Ava Acklie, and Carter Simmons. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry O. Lewis; and her second husband, Dr. James Hiram Evans, Jr. She was employed as a Receptionist at Baue Funeral Home from 1985 to 1999. Emily was also a member of the Historical Society and P.E.O Sisterhood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Five Acres Animal Shelter.
