Eric G. Singsaas

Eric G. Singsaas, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the age of 50. Loving husband of Pamela J. Singsaas; beloved son of Gordon (Carol) Singsaas and Jackie (Larry) Fredette; devoted father of Nick Singsaas, Jane Singsaas, and Haley Singsaas; son-in-law of Bob (Janet) Kalin; dear brother of Sheri Singsaas, Bruce (Jackie) Singsaas, and Brian (Dianna) Singsaas; brother-in-law of Joe (Linda) Kalin, Bob Kalin, Dan Kalin, and Perri Kalin-Doell. Eric is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Jane Kalin; and brother-in-law, Rick Kalin. Eric is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends

Eric was a man of great humor and strength to his family.  He enjoyed time with his wife and children, whether it be fishing and hunting at his property in northern Missouri or tending to his garden.  Eric’s green thumb resulted in many jars of salsa, jams, beans and other veggies for the enjoyment of his family.  His prize crop was his blackberries for jam and the occasion batch of wine!

Eric worked for 29 years at Southwest Airlines at a job he loved.  He developed many lifelong Southwest friends, who enjoyed a good happy hour together.  He will be missed by his Southwest family.

Eric fought a good fight for 3+ years against brain cancer, which doctors described him as “amazing” and even an “interesting” case.  His Norwegian heritage was a source of pride for him and he demonstrated the meaning of “Viking Strong”.

Eric was a loving husband, father, son, uncle and good friend to many.  He will be missed by all, but has left his legacy with his wife and children and those lives he touched.  Everyone carries a little of bit of Eric’s “Viking Strong” with them in their hearts.




In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the educational funds of his daughters.
