Ernest F. Thompson, of Winfield, MO, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Vergie M. Thompson; devoted father of Debra (Gary) Raithel, Gary (Jill) Thompson, James Alan (Cheryl) Thompson, and Brandon (Alexandria Plack) Thompson; cherished grandfather of three and step-grandfather of six; precious great-grandfather of 7; kind great-great-grandfather of 4; dear brother of Alice (Bill) Rigsby and brother-in-law of Evola Thompson. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ernest and Opal Thompson Sr., and his siblings, Robert Thompson, Raymond Thompson, and Lorene Moore.
Ernest married the love of his life, Vergie, in 1956, and they were happily married for over 65 years. He always enjoyed having a project or something to build. Ernest loved fishing and woodworking. Ernest was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Ernest's name to Church of Christ at Foristell.
