Ernest Pettit

Ernest Pettit of Hawk Point, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Pettit; cherished son of the late Ernest W. Pettit and Ruth Bunke; devoted father of Allan (Teresa) Pettit, Ruth (Robert Moll) Webb, Richard (Michelle) Pettit, Lori Pettit (fiancé Lee Coke), Robert (Amy) Pettit; loving grandfather of Landon (Allison) Pettit, Patricia Pettit, Kevin (Jessica) Pettit, Samantha (Joe) Krankka, Alexis Pettit, Aidan Pettit, Kayla (Joshua) Ferguson, Kammie Regot, Devin Pettit, Ryan Pettit, Felecity Pettit; treasured great-grandfather of Ella and Nicholas Pettit, Ginny Pettit, Michael Israel, and Phoenix Pettit, Jackson and Kylie Ferguson, and Zane Pettit; dear brother of Dorothy (Larry) Pfaffenroth, Walter (Shirley) Pettit, James (Charlotte) Pettit, Carol Harnitz, Thomas (Kathryn) Pettit, Dale (Peggy) Pettit, and John (Ruth) Pettit.

Ernest is preceded in death by his sister, Lois Manthie.

Ernest was employed as the mechanic for City of St. Ann Police Department for many years before retiring. He loved NASCAR racing, attending car shows, and anything to do with an engine. Ernest dearly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
