Ernest R. “Sonny” Hinkle Jr.

Ernest R. Hinkle Jr. of O Fallon, Missouri, passed Friday, March 2, 2018, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Toni K. Hinkle; cherished son of Grace and Ernest R. Hinkle Sr.; devoted father of Mitzi (Tyler) Fravell, David Hinkle, TaniShae (Roger) Bentley, and Robin (John) Velker; loving grandfather of 5; treasured great-grandfather of 13; and dear great-great-grandfather of 2; dear brother of Charles (Pat) Hinkle, Shelly (Don) Ledbetter, and Ida (Doyle) Tidwell; beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend. Ernest is also preceded in death by his grandson Austan Hinkle and his sister Winnis Sifford.

Ernest proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
