Smith, Erwin Walter, of O'Fallon, MO, died on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the age of 69. Loving husband of Donnita 'Roxanne' Smith; beloved son of the late Morgan and Agnes Smith; devoted father of Denise Louise Smith and Jason Robert (Wendy) Smith; devoted stepfather of Jason (Jessica) Crain, Matthew (Rachel Hodge) Crain, Robbin Day, and Lyndia (James) Root; cherished grandfather of many; dear brother of Phillip Smith, Faith Ann (William) Fieldhouse, Rose Marie (the late Stanley) Heinemann, and Barbara Jean (the late Richard) Unterreiner. He is preceded in death by his sons Christopher Morgan Smith and Richard Erwin Smith.
Erwin proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus and VFW. Erwin loved playing cards and watching westerns, but most of all he loved being with his family.
