Devoted wife of George E. Volkman; dear daughter of the late William H. and the late Freida Thieman; loving mother of Judy (Ken) Curtis and Steve (Lynette) Volkman; cherished grandmother of Kathy (Shawn) Teters, Bryan (Angela) Curtis, Anthony (Christina) Volkman; treasured great-grandmother of Katelyn Rey, Eleanor Curtis, Jason and Patrick Teters, Cooper and Bella Volkman; dear sister of Vernon (Eunice) Thieman and Wilma (Gene) Viehweg. She is preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Berry. She was a homemaker and a member of St John UCC in St Charles, Missouri. Esther was the past President of American Legion Auxiliary Post #312, past Secretary of four years and past President of 4 years of Chapter 3029 AARP.
