Ethel Mae Willcox Sohn was born March 7, 1930 at Campo, Colorado to George and Lena Willcox. She became a legal citizen of Heaven on Thursday, July 3, 2014.
They moved to Colorado Springs, CO when she was 4 years old and she resided there until 1946 when she came to St. Clair, MO to visit her sister, Silven Sohn. It was then she met Otto and the two became sweethearts and were married June 22, 1946.
They added Diana K. and Larry R. to make their home complete for many years.
In 1956 they moved to St. Charles, MO to be closer to the Ford plant where Otto worked. As they were driving on Highway 94 to their new home she noticed the sign advertising Glad Tidings Tabernacle which was since renamed, First Assembly of God, they visited there and on the second night they attended, Ethel gave her heart to God and has happily served him ever since.
During her working years, Ethel worked at Sears for 17 years along with a good friend from church, Betty Noah, and together they witnessed to their fellow workers and won some to Christ. It was a very good experience.
She has had various jobs in her lifetime and enjoyed them all, but most of all she enjoyed her family and the many wonderful times when they got together.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister Silven Sohn, two brothers, Cecil and David Willcox.
