Dear husband of the late Pauline Sweeten; dear brother of Virgie Caple, Christine Sweeten, Paul Sweeten and Nathan Sweeten. Mr. Sweeten moved to O'Fallon, Missouri in 1957 and has been involved with many organizations including an active member of the Williams Memorial United Methodist Church, now Corner-stone United Methodist Church. He served on the Board of Directors for the O'Fallon Athletic Association and was a Khoury League coach for a number of years; he was a Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year, President of the O'Fallon Kiwanis in 1982 and on the Advisory Council for the Key Club; served on the Advisory Council of St. Mary's College and was on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Affiliate of the American Diabetes Association; member of the Wentzville Masonic Lodge #46 AF&AM for 38 years serving as Worshipful Master in 1968; he served on the Advisory Council of the Daniel Boone Chapter Order of DeMolay; Honorary Lifetime Member of the Legion of Honor and served on the Advisory Council of the International Order of Jobs Daughters; 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in the St. Louis Consistory and on the Hospitality and Membership Committees; member of Moolah Shrine and served in the following units: Ambassa-dor's, Reception Committee and Past Master's; he also served on the Children's Committee at the Shriner's Hospital and was Past President of the Daniel Boone Shrine Club.
