Cotton proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Eugene earned the nickname "Cotton" from having such white-blonde hair when he was young. Cotton was a big "coon hunter" and was always proud of his coon dogs, he took great pride in their ability and companionship. Cotton enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors and loved to fish. He and Velma always kept a tidy yard full of very various types of vegetation and flowers. Cotton, even though his battle with dementia, took great pride in their yard and in personally doing the work.
Family was very important to Cotton. He especially loved spending time with his beloved grand babies. Cotton was very friendly and knew and got along well with all of his neighbors. On top of that, he had a great sense of humor that could brighten up the room. Eugene was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
