Moser, “Gene” Eugene E., of O’ Fallon, Missouri died on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the age of 69. Eugene was born in St. Louis, MO on July 10, 1940, to Bernice (Cox) Moser and Archie “Jack” Moser. Survived by his wife Connie Kay Hammontree Moser and six children; Jacquelyn B. (Rick) Patrick, Janet L. Moser, Jeanne M. (Clyde) Jones, JoAnne R. Moser, Roger D. Moser and Jennifer L.(Mark) Floyd. Brother of Jack L. Moser and Sherri I. (Steve) Williams and half brother of Diane (Bill) Becker and the late Bill Burnett. He had twenty two grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Gene wore many hats in his lifetime. He was a fifty year plus member of the International Association of Machinists going from long time recording secretary to president for twelve years of the Machinists Union District Nine, Local Lodge #688 for which he was very proud. He was also a longtime recording secretary of the Missouri Gun & Quail Club. In his work in the Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, he also went on to achieve most of the levels and titles he wanted. In Wellston Lodge #613 he rose to Worshipful Master, and then was elected to the office of recording secretary. He was instrumental in the consolidation of Wellston Lodge back into its mother lodge Bridgeton #80. Gene was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, in the York Rite of Masonry; he belonged to St. Charles #1 R.A.M and was Past High Priest, belonging to the Order of the High Priesthood. He was Past Illustrious Master of St. Charles #1 Cryptic Council, and a member of The Order of the Silver Trowel. He was also a member of the Ivanhoe Commandry #8, of the Knights Templar. In his last years he was inducted into the York Rite College. Gene proudly served as Alderman of Ward #1 in the City of O’Fallon, Missouri. He always believed an Alderman should represent the whole city, not just his ward. Many know he was a cowboy to the end, a life member of the Single Action Shooting Society known as “Lerado Lobo”, therefore he would like you to believe he is still “Just drifting along”. Memorials may be made to The Guide Dogs of America, Masonic Home of Missouri or Donor's Choice.
