Eugene “Gene” Hankins, Jr.

Hankins Jr., Eugene P. 'Gene', 72, of Wentzville, MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 31, 2014, surrounded by his family at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on April 27, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene P. Hankins, Sr., his mother Audrey Hankins (nee: Haynes), and sister Gloria Rentfro. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Sharon Hankins (nee: Goelz), beloved father of son Jeff (Tammy) Hankins, daughter Julie (William) Kral, and son Mark Hankins, wonderful grandfather to Josh, Jordan, Brandon, Brooke, Kate and Maddie, dear brother-in-law of William Rentfro, cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith United Church of Christ - Wentzville, Missouri, Wounded Warrior Project or the ASPCA - American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
