Eugene died on March 11, 2012 at the age of 88. Eugene is preceded in death by his first wife, Irene M. Vogler and later by his second wife, Ferne Vogler; son of the late John S. and Vera Idaline Vogler; father of Charlotte Pettig, Janie Merrins, Larry (Danny Purcell) Vogler, Diana Vogler, Roger (Pamela) Vogler, Vera (Jennifer Smith) Vogler, Donald Vogler, and Catherine Vogler; grandfather of 11; great-grandfather of 22; brother of Vera (Charles) Lavy and brother-in-law of Patricia Vogler.
