Eugene Martens

On March 22nd, 2019 at 10:15am the world lost an amazing, God fearing, man. Eugene Martens, age 78, born July 19th, 1940 to the late Albert and Hilda Martens was a loving husband to his gorgeous wife Patricia, father to his beautiful daughter Angelyn Dawn, and grandfather to his spunky granddaughter Makayla. He also leaves behind his sister Elvera “Elly” Smith-Morrow and her husband Jim, his sister Eunice Martens, his friends Rev. Wayne Davis and his wife Bobbi, and dear friends Mel Jackson and his wife Alice. Next to his family, he loved his 1930 Model A, playing baseball, and his dogs.

Eugene was a Deacon and Usher at Crosskeys Baptist Church and helped with Crisis Ministry during the flood of 1993. He was a current member of First Christian Church of Florissant. He enjoyed hiking, camping, and anything outdoors. Eugene and Pat spent nearly every moment together. Pat was the love of Eugene’s life and he was her's. Eugene was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His was a life well lived.
