Eugene N. Jorn

Jorn, Eugene N., of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the age of 84. Loving husband of Sharlene M. Jorn (nee: Johnson); beloved son of the late Eugene F. and Helen E. Jorn; devoted father of Debra (William) Hasse, Michele (Jeff) Gremminger, and the late Timothy Jorn; cherished grandfather of Megan (Ryan) Cope, Ben Hasse, Ethan Gremminger, and Daniel Gremminger; treasured great-grandfather of June Cope. He is preceded in death by his sister Ellen Deitzler. Eugene proudly served his country in the US AirForce during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, and retired as Tech Sergeant after 20 years. He then dedicated his service as owner and operator of Jorn's Heating and Cooling for 32 years. He loved all animals, especially dogs, and shared a passion for horses with his daughter, Michele. He enjoyed taking care of his lawn and proudly manicured it to be golf course worthy. Eugene was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers fan. He also enjoyed swimming and snorkeling. He was a hardworker, liked fixing things, and was always there for others. He truly loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Five Acres Animal Shelter or Veterans Administration.
