Eugene (Gene) “Opa” Weber, of St. Charles, Missouri, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the age of 57. Son of the late Leo W. and Helen M. Weber (nee: Wehmeier), Eugene was born on May 9, 1952, in St. Charles. Gene was married to his wife and best friend, Theresa Weber (nee: Schneider) on November 24, 1973, in O’Fallon. Gene was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He served the Orchard Farm Community in many ways. He was an active Board Member of the Orchard Farm Fire Protection District volunteering as Fire Chief, Battalion Chief and Firefighter. He was a past member of the St. Charles County Fire Chiefs Association, past Board Member for St. Charles County Dispatch and Alarm, and Fire Fighters Association of Missouri. Gene was a life long farmer and past member of the Pork Producers Association of America. He was a member of Knight of Columbus Council #823. Gene was employed as a Seed Advisor for St. Charles County Coop. Gene is survived by his wife, Theresa Weber, his three cherished daughters, Kari (Rich) Wilson, Kelly (John) Wollberg, and Katy Weber; devoted Opa of Alex, Abby, Hannah, and Noah; dear brother of Anna Marie (Maurice) Illy, Dorothy (Gene) Vogelgesang, Henrietta (Oscar) Bader, Mildred (Jerald) Nothstine, Barbara Schuette, and Debra (Chris) Lagemann. He was a loving son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, brother-in-Christ, and dear friend to many, He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Kathryn Weber. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 by dear friend Rev. Stephen F. Bauer, 10 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 610 North Fourth Street, St. Charles, MO. Visitation will be held at the Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, Missouri on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 PM. Interment at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
